There are several features that make this article a fake.
For example, this article states that the salaries for the month of May will be cut for the public servants who will join the hartal campaign “Tomorrow”.
However, the letter was issued on 3rd of May 2022 and the date of the Hartal Campaign is 6th of May 2022.
Accordingly, the dates in this article indicate that this is an erroneous article.
In addition, when comparing this article with the other articles which are issued by the Presidential Media Unit, we can identify that the letter head and the state emblem is slightly blurred.
The Presidential Media Unit has issued a statement stating that this document which is circulating on Facebook is fake.
