ADMIN & HR ASSOCIATE

About Us:
Hashtag Generation is a youth-led movement dedicated to advancing digital rights, civic engagement, and inclusivity in Sri Lanka. We are seeking a proactive and organized individual to join our team as an Admin & HR Officer, focusing on office management, HR processes, staff engagement, and development.
Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain and update office records, databases, and filing systems.
  • Coordinate staff meetings and manage appointment bookings.
  • Oversee office supplies and equipment; maintain inventory records.
  • Assist in event and workshop logistics (e.g., booking venues, arranging catering, and preparing materials).
  • Support procurement processes and vendor coordination.

HR Support:

General HR Administration:

  • Maintain and update employee records (contracts, attendance, and leave records).
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
  • Help onboard new staff by preparing paperwork and supporting orientation.
  • Manage timesheets and ensure accurate leave tracking.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures in line with organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.

Performance Management:

  • Design and implement a performance appraisal system to support employee development.
  • Provide guidance to managers on addressing performance-related issues.

Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop targeted training programs for staff.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote professional growth and capacity-building.

People Engagement & Staff Welfare:

  • Support staff welfare initiatives, including organizing team-building activities and engagement events.
  • Be an active member of the people engagement and support team to foster a positive work environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in administrative or HR roles, preferably in a nonprofit or similar setting.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
