The LGBTQ+ community of Sri Lanka undergo severe challenges on online platforms that can be understood as a translation of prejudices and discriminatory laws and practices within offline scenarios.

Taking into consideration the need to educate youth from the LGBTQ+ community, #Generation successfully carried out a 3 day residential training on Cybersecurity and Digital Advocacy from the 15th to the 17th of December, 2017 at Hotel Citrus Hikkaduwa, inviting experts in the area to conduct sessions on cyber security and advocacy.

The 3-day programme consisted of a series of discussions in the areas of using internet for activism, cyber security and advocacy along with interactive sessions for participants to debate and actively engage in the topic at hand.
