During the past couple of days, actress Kavindya Dulashani was subjected to online gender-based harassment due to non-consensual images and videos of Dulshani being circulated on social media. In the meantime, we were able to observe significant amounts of fake TikTok accounts created using the name of Dulshani including her non-consensual images and videos to mislead the public.

On further investigation, we were able to observe that these were recently created fake accounts.

Accordingly, there is an official TikTok account for Dulshani along with the link to her official Facebook page attached. Also, the link to her official TikTok account is attached in her official Instagram account.
Conclusion: There is an official TikTok account in the name of actress Kavindya Dulshani, including the link to her official Facebook page attached. It can be confirmed that the TikTok accounts created using the name, images and videos of Dulshani are fake TikTok accounts. Considering all this, we can also conclude that these fake accounts were created with the aim of creating negative attitudes about her and to harass her in public.
Fake accounts can be tracked using the same method on other social media platforms as well. Simple methods can be used to verify official social media accounts/pages and to check the ownership, authority of accounts. Social media networks have provided facilities in that regard. The official blue colour tick (Blue colour Tick – Blue Tick – Blue Badge) is a such facility provided. In addition, official accounts can be identified by friends/mutual friends and followers who have liked or followed the relevant account.
